Occupational therapists are University trained health professionals who promote health and well-being through occupation. Occupation is more than a job or profession. Occupation refers to any task or activity that occupies your time. A child’s occupations include play, school and self-care activities like dressing eating, sleeping and toileting.

Paediatric occupational therapists work closely with children, their families, educators and other professionals to enhance a child’s ability to engage in the occupations they want to, need to, or are expected to do. Occupational therapists can also help to modify the task or the environment to support engagement and participation.
