Join our dynamic and family- centred practice at Paediatric OT, Occupational Therapy for Kids, Perth.  We provide clinic and mobile therapy services to children, families, and schools in the southern suburbs of Perth.  We provide online therapy services Australia wide.

We provide assessment and intervention to children with, and without, a formal diagnosis. Common diagnoses include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Difficulties, Global Developmental Delay, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Motor Coordination challenges and Sensory Processing difficulties.

About the role:

• An autonomous and flexible part time role (0.4 FTE- 0.6 FTE +) for an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist.

Essential clinical skills and experience for this role:  

• A Degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist

• Experience working with children with an autism spectrum disorder

• Proven ability to build rapport, with a friendly, approachable disposition

• Excellent communication skills to talk effectively with people from all walks of life

• Strong organisation and scheduling skills

• Willingness to learn, question, contribute and problem solve

 

Other Essential criteria:

• Full working rights in Australia

• Eligible to register for a Medicare Provider Number

• Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance

• Current driver’s license, and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance to use for community visits 

• WA Working with Children Check

• National Criminal Police Clearance

Desirable Criteria:

• Working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and supporting families within this system.
